As a local, family-run business, we believe in supporting the communities where we live and work. From fundraising challenges to practical support, our team is proud to get behind organisations that make a meaningful difference to local people.
Here are some of the charities, causes and community projects DW Energy has supported across Sussex and the South East.
100 km | 24-hour challenge | More than £2,000 raised
In September 2025, DW Energy’s Simon Youngman and James Botley swapped kilowatts for kilometres to take on the South Coast Ultra Challenge. The challenge involved walking 100 km from Eastbourne to Arundel, with a target of completing the route within 24 hours.
Their efforts were inspired by Sight Support Worthing, a local charity that has supported people living with sight loss for more than 100 years, helping them live with greater independence, confidence and dignity.
With the support of colleagues, customers, friends and the wider community, Simon and James raised more than £2,000 for the charity. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who donated, shared the appeal or supported them along the way!
